DoES Liverpool is an independent maker-space, co-working space, education space and events space founded in 2011. They are regulars at Liverpool and Wirral MakeFests.
Friendly and open to all, DoES attracts professionals, hobbyists, students and young people with weekly public events, hot-desking, permanent desks and workshop access. Members of the DOES community try to use recycled materials whenever possible, and to repair things (often using 3D printers etc.) so that new items aren’t needed as often. When large pieces of material are used, the scraps are saved for smaller projects. DoES Liverpool is also a self-funded community interest company, with all profits invested back into the community and making the space more epic.
Jackie Pease from DoES Liverpool will be delivering a pre-MakeFest workshop on the 12th of May at new maker space, BirkenHack on the 12th of May, free but tickets are available here.
DoES Liverpool will be based at Birkenhead Central Library between 10am and 4pm on the 10th of May.
