Performances at Wirral MakeFest. We are delighted that we have a very full spoken word, poetry and music component to both sites. At the The Williamson Art Gallery on Slatey Road in the cafe on the 1st of June between 10am and 4pm, our host Alison Schultz with Celia Gentles (childrens’ interactive) will introduce the following performers

First step, get your ticket, then plan your route to get to us – hopefully by public transport or walking. If you have to come by car – there is a car park at the Williamson Art Gallery & Museum. All their travel information is on their website and for the library, there is a free car park on Turner Street, across Borough Road. The walk between the two venues takes 9 minutes via Balls Road (downhill from Williamson to the library).

Things to know about me.. I love to make strange noises and make up words.Oh, and I am what we call ‘disabled’. The other two things are far more interesting than my inability to do steps or hear what you are saying to me! Wirral Makefest C.I.C have been looking closely at accessibility this year, both venues are pretty good overall with minor tweaks needed.

Making with MakeFest. Wirral Libraries celebrating the Borough of Culture are creating a story patchwork. Wirral MakeFest will be leading a workshop on Wednesday the 8th of May from 3-5pm. Come along to Birkenhead Central Library to make patches and bunting with the Wirral MakeFest team. We will be reusing, recycling, repurposing and taking time to relate to each other. All materials provided – free open session.
