Wirral Unplugged helps families unplug (from screens), create and explore together!
Finding screen balance has never been so easy (and cool!). We explore cultures, imaginary worlds, science and careers with our learning-through-play boxes and events. Designed by volunteer experts, education professionals and local craftspeople, each box offers 10 hours of unique, sustainable learning through food, games, activities and crafts for families to explore offline.
We work with some amazing people. Recently we’ve had collaborations with the Royal Society of Chemistry on Environmental Chemistry and the University of Liverpool’s Association for Space Engineering and Research (LASER society) on a Space box and event.
We’re all about FUN learning, for example, we explored Japan through anime art, our poo balance game teaches about farming, waste and the water table while our Dinos Roar box has a Dino-bone xylophone made of bamboo, a structure more similar to dinosaur’s bones than ours.
You can grab one of our kits and tell us about what topics you’d like us to do next at Wirral MakeFest!
