Wirral Met College - Engineering Department

Come and talk to us about all things engineering. We will be bringing our welding simulator to Wirral MakeFest for you to try out 🙂

Our engineering study programmes will provide you with the knowledge and practical skills for a range of sectors including civil, transport, electrical, aerospace and offshore oil and gas. You will develop your skills in our multi-million pound engineering workshops and mechatronics lab at our Twelve Quays campus.

On an automotive course, you will master your skills on real cars, including petrol, diesel, electric and hybrid engines and be taught by tutors with a wide variety of industry experience. Our excellent links with employers have enabled us to develop a flexible range of qualifications to equip you with the skills and knowledge you need to succeed in this industry.

Wirral Met Engineering department will be based out of the Williamson Art Gallery & Museum between 10am and 4pm and if you want to see more about maritime engineering, be sure to visit the Maritime gallery within the museum to see Birkenhead’s great industry in steam, metal and wood on the water.
