Gelatine plate printing is a fun, hands on activity that can be accomplished with a wide range of techniques.

Suitable for anyone, it is easy to start printing, but immensely flexible and quite addictive.

Whilst enjoyable as an activity on its own, there are lots of ways that you can use your prints such as decorations, hand made books, zines, and mixed media art.

The following topics are covered

• Commercial and home made plates

• Different types of paints and how to apply them

• Using stencils, stamps, resists and found materials to create prints

• Building layers and making contact prints

• Image transfer using printed or copied photos and glossy magazines
