Julie Taylor - tapestry

We are delighted that Julie will be returning to Wirral MakeFest for our Finale with her tapestry weaving demonstration with samples to explore showing work, materials and equipment needed which can be sourced from recycled and found items. Participants can have a go at a simple card loom weave which can be taken home.

“I will be showing woven tapestries, dyed fibre and I will be demonstrating the weaving process where visitors can have a go themselves. There are many challenges to weaving tapestry and I am still discovering new and interesting techniques that keep me engaged with this medium after many years of weaving and teaching.”
