Wirral Code Club

Wirral Code Club is a community-driven initiative that aims to provide free coding and digital skills training to children and young people in the Wirral area of Merseyside, UK. The Code Club runs at various Wirral Libraries, which provide a safe and supportive learning environment for participants.

The Code Club sessions are run by trained volunteers who work with children aged 9 to 13 years old. The volunteers use Scratch, Python, HTML/CSS and other programming languages to teach coding and digital skills. Children are encouraged to work on their own projects, which can be anything from creating a game or animation to building a website or app.

The Wirral Code Club is part of a wider initiative called Code Club UK, which was established in 2012 to promote coding and digital skills education for children across the UK. The Code Club UK provides a range of resources and training to volunteers, schools, and community organizations to help them establish and run Code Clubs in their local areas.

Wirral Code Club will be based at Birkenhead Central Library between 10am and 4pm on the 3rd of June.
