Make It Happen

MIH recently received 5 years funding from The National Lottery Community Fund to help create a Vibrant Village in Birkenhead, the place for the community love to live, work and play. The team of staff and volunteers have ongoing conversations in the local community to shape how everyone wants the vibrant village to look and feel, whilst the physical area has its own regeneration!

There is a close knit community connected to their two venues near Hamilton Square with an understanding of  what matters and what they wish to grow, through  collaboration with local organisations and businesses to keep it clean and tidy, and taking pride in doing more to make aspirations a reality through citizen stewardship. The community kick-started this new project with a revamp of the ” Vibrant Village Living Room” ( 34 Argyle Street ) previously known as Place Of Contribution that is their hub. The community co-design and deliver activities and events that grow the sense of belonging with a shared vision for the space!
